Appointment of Haydn Saunders as Partner

Barrett & Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Haydn Saunders as Partner, effective 1 January 2026.

Haydn is a UK Fellow International Accountant with over 35 years of professional experience across both the commercial and public sectors. Prior to his appointment as Partner, he served as Director of the firm’s English Audit and Accounting Department, where he consistently demonstrated professionalism and diligence, leading his team to deliver high standards of service and excellence to our clients.

Haydn’s private accountancy practice career began in London and later extended to Belize. Born in the United Kingdom to Jamaican parents, he subsequently came to Vanuatu through VSO, a UK-based voluntary organization. His assignment options were the Maldives or Vanuatu. By his own admission, he had to locate Vanuatu on a world map before choosing.

During his three years with the Department of Local Authorities, Haydn worked as an Accounts Trainer, where he established accounting systems and delivered training to Provincial Government accountants across the six provinces. His experiences during this period led him to make Vanuatu his permanent home, after which he returned to private accountancy practice.

Haydn has extensive expertise in audit assurance and accountancy advisory, risk assessment and compliance reviews. He works with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, including tourism, stevedoring, manufacturing, retail, banking, financial dealers, and the broader financial services industry.

He is an integral part of the firm’s ongoing drive for excellence in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
